AustralianSuper bolsters UK capital markets team

AustralianSuper fixed income specialist Eddie Stolfa has moved to London on secondment as manager, exposure management Europe, capital markets the UK.

It's a lateral move for Stolfa whose relocation comes as Australian Super continues to beef up its London team - which has specialist skills across private markets and is the home of the fund's northern hemisphere trading desk.

Critically, AustralianSuper has bolstered its capital markets team, its trading capabilities, and back-office support, particularly in London.

As part of its global expansion, AustralianSuper will boost its London staff from 50 to 100 and has 15 currently in New York.

Stolfa joined the country's largest super fund almost three years ago from Telstra Super.

At the telco's superannuation fund, he was a senior portfolio manager of cash fixed interest and currency overlays.

Before that, he spent four years at  Vanguard Investments Australia as a portfolio manager. 
Earlier, he worked for Alliance Bernstein for seven years most recently as a vice president of its fixed-income business.

Stolfa began his financial career in 1995 at National Mutual Funds Management moving two years later to AXA Australia Funds.
