AustralianSuper appoints Senior Manager, Portfolio Construction

AustralianSuper has confirmed the appointment of Larissa Benbow as senior manager, portfolio construction. Benbow joins the $91b industry fund from Lloyds Banking Group, London where she was head of investments. Her team managed the Group's investment portfolio for the HBOS Defined Benefit Pension Scheme and was also responsible for researching new investment ideas.

Throughout her career she has gained experience in portfolio construction, risk and alternative investments.

In her new role, Benbow will be working with Alistair Barker in the Macro & Portfolio Construction team, to lead the development of AustralianSuper's portfolio construction and longer-term asset allocation strategy for the Balanced option.
