Mike Murray has been promoted to head of domestic equities. In his new role, the former equities analyst will oversee the organisation's active equities team and processes.
Murray joined Australian Ethical in 2016 and has more than two decades' experience as a portfolio manager and equities analyst covering a variety of domestic companies. Before joining Australian Ethical he was the portfolio manager for ESG funds at Integrity Investment Management and spent time with AMP Capital covering the sustainable shares fund.
Australian Ethical CEO John McMurdo says the group's growth over the last year, with more than $5 billion FUM, has necessitated some changes in the organisation. "We are seeing an accelerating movement of advisers and investors placing significantly more weight on ensuring their investments also create a better world for people, planet, and animals - on top of achieving above-market returns."
Australian Ethical also announced the appointment of a new senior adviser relationship manager Keenan Bunning from Perpetual.
