Australian Ethical has appointed Eveline Moos as head of people and culture, hiring from First Sentier Investors.

The fund said Moos brings a wealth of experience to Australia's leading ethical investment manager, having partnered with leadership teams at First Sentier Investors, AMP Capital, and Perpetual.

During her time at First Sentier, Moos drove transformation by co-developing global hybrid working principles, advocating and securing support for diversity in investment teams, and delivering mental health initiatives.

She joined First Sentier from AMP Capital, where she was hired as the senior HR business partner for the three years to 2021.

"Moos brings a fresh perspective and joins us at an important time as we continue implementing our high growth business strategy while supporting healthy, productive, and energised employees," said

Australian Ethical chief executive John McMurdo,

Commenting on her appointment, Moos said: "I'm thrilled to be joining one of Australia's purpose pioneers. Australian Ethical's decades-long commitment to ethical investing is a roadmap to success through profitability, productivity, employee experience, and customer satisfaction."

Moos noted the shift in how people think about the role work has in their lives following the pandemic. "Organisations like Australian Ethical, who truly lead with purpose and culture, are best placed to deliver on this evolution and people's desire for greater meaning and purpose from work," she added.

McMurdo noted that the appointment brings gender parity to the Australian Ethical senior leadership team while its gender balanced board is one of just 25 in the ASX300.
