Austock Life rebrands as Generation Life and appoints Joint-CEOs

Austock Life has announced that it has rebranded as Generation Life and refreshed its leadership with the appointment of Lucy Foster and Catherine van der Veen as joint CEOs, effective January 2018.

Foster will join Generation Life from the Commonwealth Bank (CBA), where she is currently executive manager - wealth management strategic planning & advisory. She first joined CBA in October 2013 and previously spent three years in various roles with CommInsure.

Van der Veen is also joining Generation Life from CBA, where she is currently the GM strategic projects, wealth management.

Commenting on their appointments, executive chair, Rob Coombe, said: "Attracting two highly qualified, senior executives with complementary skills to embrace a job-shared leadership role is itself emblematic of our progressive intentions as a company and financial brand. We are excited about the opportunity to deliver highly practical, real-world solutions under the newly born Generation Life brand."

Foster and van der Veen replace former Austock Life MD Ross Higgins, who stepped down from his executive responsibilities in November 2017. Higgins will remain on the firm's board.
