Assistant Portfolio Manager joins Altius

Altius Asset Management (Altius) has announced the appointment of Jing Jia as the firm's new assistant portfolio manager, effective June 2017.

Jia joins from Australian Unity's investments team where he was an investment analyst. Prior to that he worked with VFMC and NAB.

In a statement, Altius said that Jia's appointment - and that of fellow new-appointee and head of credit research, Yen Wong - "marked the milestone" of the firm reaching more than $1.4 billion in AUM and its Sustainable Bond Fund reaching $100 million.

Altius chief investment officer, Bill Bovingdon, added that the new appointments would enable the team to capitalise on growing momentum around the sector.

"Reaching $100m in funds under management is a significant achievement for the Sustainable Bond Fund, and we're growing the team to ensure we continue to augment this specialist area for our clients."

Altius is also recruiting for a credit analyst to join the team.
