The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) has announced that Brad Holzberger has departed the board following the completion of his term, effective 30 November 2017.

Holzberger is the chief investment officer at QSuper, a role he has held since February 2009.

ASFA has also announced the departure of fellow board director, Dean Thomas, managing director at Hilross Financial Services.

ASFA chair, Michael Easson, acknowledged the "significant contributions" that both Holzberger and Thomas had made during their time on the board.

Replacing Holzberger and Thomas are Melinda Howes, general manager of superannuation at BT Financial Group, and Peter Carrigy-Ryan, CEO of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
