ART hires from Milliman

A former TCorp risk specialist has joined Australian Retirement Trust to work on financial risks, hedging strategies, and trading operations.

Australian Retirement Trust has confirmed the appointment of Lin Xu as associate portfolio manager, investment strategy - exposure management.

Xu arrives from Millima, where he was responsible for trading activities within the Asia Pacific region as part of the wider capital markets and hedging group.

Before his nearly three-year stint at the actuarial firm, Xu provided analytical support and backup portfolio management responsibilities across Pendal's cash, government bonds, inflation and credit funds.

Earlier, Xu spent seven years at TCorp as a senior analyst looking at financial risk solutions such as derivatives structuring and hedging on interest rate and inflation risk.

In this role, he managed currency overlay strategies for internal funds.
