Harvey Kalman has stepped into the role of chair of Arbitrium Capital following the death of Ray Horsburgh last month.
Kalman, who has been acting chair since, is also chair of the MSC Group, the boutique corporate trust.
He joined the MSC board after a 21-year career at Equity Trustees where he led and grew the corporate trust business from $700 million under management to $100 billion.
Currently, Kalman is chair of Raiz Invest and sits on a half dozen other boards.
He called Horsburgh a gentleman and a great mentor.
"He showed great support of Arbtrium and his counsel will be sorely missed," Kelman said.
During his career, Horshburgh served as chairman of Toll Holdings, Calibre Global, Essendon Football Club and AFL Victoria.
He is also a former chief executive of Smorgon Steel and Australian Consolidated Industries Glass Group, a non-executive director at Pact Ltd, Traffic Technologies and President of Rotary Club of Williamstown.
