Position: Chief Investment Officer, ANZ Wealth

ANZ Wealth's chief investment officer, Mark Rider, is no longer with the organisation.

Financial Standard reports that Rider left as part of the job losses that were announced last week.

In his role, Rider looked after investment strategy including asset allocation, product selection and monitoring, and compliance/risk analytics for ANZ Wealth client investment offerings.

From Financial Standard: "Following the sale of the pensions and investments business to IOOF, Rider held the same role in ANZ Private Banking and Advice. Last week the Finance Sector Union revealed 230 staff within the private banking and advice divisions had been given their notice."

Rider first joined ANZ in April 2013 as head of investment strategy and asset allocation. He joined from UBS Global Asset Management and was a former head of economic activity and forecasting at the RBA.
