ANZ has announced the departure of chief information officer (CIO), Scott Collary, who will leave the role at the end of November 2016.

Collary joined ANZ in December 2014, replacing former CIO Ann ­Weatherston, who resigned from the position in April 2014. Previous to that he was the CIO for Citigroup's North American and global consumer cards business.

His departure follows the appointment of Gerard Florian as the firm's group executive of technology.

Commenting on Collary's time with ANZ, CEO Shayne Elliott, said: "Scott has made a very strong contribution since he joined us in 2014. He has established great working relationships between technology and our businesses, continued to strengthen reliability and efficiency of ANZ's systems, and built a cohesive team and culture within technology. I thank him for his service and wish him every success in the future."
