ANZ appoints Head of Sustainable Finance Solutions

ANZ has announced the appointment of Katharine Tapley as head of sustainable finance solutions (SFS), loans & specialised finance, based in the firm's Sydney office, effective immediately.

Tapley joined ANZ in 2001, and has undertaken various front line roles in ANZ's markets and specialised finance businesses. She has been a senior member of the SFS team since its formation in 2014, serving as acting head since June 2016.

Commenting on her appointment, managing director loans & specialised finance, Christina Tonkin, said: "Since joining the SFS team, Katharine has made a strong contribution with her depth of knowledge across various sustainable asset classes and her extensive transactional experience. In the acting role, she has further entrenched ANZ's growing reputation for sustainable finance capability."

Tapley is a non-executive director of the Carbon Market Institute, an advisory panel member of the Australia-Indonesia Centre's Urban Water Cluster research project, and an alumni of the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership.
