Anastasia Anagnostakos has landed at DigitalX, the publicly-listed digital asset investment management company.

In her new role as distribution executive, she brings 14 years of traditional finance expertise in investment analysis, securities dealing, and distribution.

Anagnostakos joins from the ASX, where she ran education, sales, distribution, product optimisation for exchange-traded funds and the ASX fund service.

During her time at the exchange, she led the growth of the ETF market from $46 billion to $127 billion and the growth of mfund from $865 million to almost $1.8 billion.

Before the ASX, Anagnostakos was a client portfolio analyst at DMP Asset Management.

Earlier, she worked for NEST Corporation in London and as a graduate for Ernst & Young and an investment analyst and securities dealer at Equity Trustees.

Her appointment comes as DigitalX wins an investment-grade rating from research house SQM which will help the business expand beyond high net worth, family office, and SMSF style investors into the institutional and adviser markets.

Outside of funds management, the company also builds blockchain-based regetch products, such as Drawbridge that allows public companies to track and control employee share trading.

It also has stakes in several real asset tokenisation projects, including xBullion.

"We believe strongly that the digital markets have now matured to a point where a solid investment case can be made for a significant portion of the market," said DigitalX head of funds, Matt Harry.

"In our eyes, it is now time for the best performing asset class over the past 12 years to complete its transition into the mainstream.

"Anastasia's appointment itself is exciting in that she will assist us in broadening our distribution networks and delivering professionally -managed digital asset exposure in an institutional format to the traditional investment space."

DigitalX recently hired Lisa Wade, the former head of digital innovation and sustainability at National Australia Bank.
