AMP Chair to retire

AMP Limited has announced that chair Simon McKeon will retire from the AMP Limited board at the conclusion of the May AGM.

Independent director John Palmer, who was also to retire from the board after the May AGM, will step in as interim chair until a permanent appointment has been made.

Commenting on his retirement, McKeon said: "I am disappointed to leave the board following a change in my circumstances. It has been an honour to be Chairman of AMP Limited, I have every confidence in the strategy and management team and believe that AMP is well positioned to grow over the long-term."
