AMP Capital names new Chair

Vanessa Wallace has been appointed chair of the AMP Capital board, replacing current long-standing chair, Brian Clark, who will retire in August 2016.

Wallace joined the AMP Capital board in May 2016. She also sits on the board of Wesfarmers and has consulted to the financial services sector across the Asia Pacific for more than 30 years. Previously, she held senior management positions at Booz & Company and was the executive chairman of Booz & Company (Japan) Inc.

Commenting on her appointment as chair, Clark said: "After joining the AMP Capital Holdings board as a non-executive director, Vanessa has made an impressive contribution, drawing on her extensive financial services experience as well as her previous engagement in advising AMP Capital at a leadership level a few years ago. She has developed a deep knowledge of the business and I have enjoyed working closely with her during the last few months as part of the board's succession planning program."
