AMP Capital bolsters Australian equities team

AMP Capital has announced the appointment of Jason Davis as co-portfolio manager, systematic, effective 5 February 2018.

Based in Melbourne, Davis will work alongside co-portfolio manager, Genevieve Murray, who is also the firm's head of Australian equities.

Davis has more than 25 years' investment experience and a background in Australian equities investing and systematic research techniques. He was most recently a director at Strategic Income and prior to that, head of portfolio management and director at Ankura Capital.

AMP Capital has also announced the appointment of Matthew Griffin as co-portfolio manager, small caps, effective 19 March 2018, and Marco Correia, who joined in November as an equity income analyst.

Commenting on the new appointments, which follow the firm's restructure of its Australian equities business in October 2017, Murray said: "Our ability to attract such high-calibre investment professionals to the repositioned AMP Capital Australian Equities team is testament to the potential of our long-term strategy and the exciting opportunities that are on the horizon.
