AMP Capital appoints Senior Resources Analyst

AMP Capital has strengthened its Australian equities team with the appointment of Peter Harris as a senior resources analyst, reporting to Michael Price.

Harris' previous roles include chief economist at Shell Australia, head of resources research at JCP Investment Partners and sell-side resources analyst at CBA.

Also joining Harris in the Australian equities team is former Macquarie Investment Management portfolio manager, Geoff Wells, who has been appointed as a senior portfolio manager.

Commenting on the new hires, AMP Capital global equities and fixed income chief investment officer Mark Beardow said: "I would like to welcome these very strong investment professionals to AMP Capital. Both Geoff and Peter bring with them many years of relevant experience and complementary investment styles to the team."
