AMP Capital appoints Portfolio Manager for Multi-Asset Group

Darren Beesley has joined AMP Capital's multi-asset group as portfolio manager.

Prior to joining AMP Capital, Beesley held roles at IAG Asset Management where he was portfolio manager for the asset allocation team and Perpetual where he was portfolio manager for Perpetual's diversified strategies team.

In his new role, Beesley will be responsible for developing and managing AMP Capital's new range of retirement funds, which will be launched this year. He will also assume responsibility for a number of liability-driven investments and report to AMP Capital multi-asset group head of portfolio management Debbie Alliston.

Commenting on the appointment, Alliston said: "This is a new role that we have created in response to the competitive and changing nature of portfolio management. Darren is a skilled, contemporary portfolio manager and I'm delighted to have him on board as we continue to maximise value for our existing and prospective clients."
