AMP appoints Group Exec Wealth Solutions & Customer

AMP Limited has announced a series of changes to its senior leadership, including the appointment of Paul Sainsbury as group executive of wealth solutions and customer, a new division bringing together customer, wealth management and product solutions.

Sainsbury is a 16 year veteran of AMP with a number of senior roles under his belt. In April 2013 he was appointed to his current role as chief customer officer and before that held a dual role as both integration director for the AMP/AXA merger and MD of AMP's self-managed super funds' business.

Commenting on the announced changes, which include several new appointments and three executive departures, AMP chief executive Craig Meller said: "The new group structure delivers sharper focus on performance in the core Australian businesses, drives efficiency across the group and provides increased emphasis on the growth drivers in the portfolio."

Sainsbury will commence in the new role on 1 January 2017 and report directly to Meller.
