AMP adds risk head to advice segment

AMP has confirmed the appointment of Michael Jones as head of risk and control for its advice segment.

Jones recently left Synchron where he spent more than four years as the GM of legal, risk, and compliance. He's held senior risk and compliance roles with UBS Wealth Management Australia, IFM Investors, and NAB.

A spokesperson for the organisation said that the appointment is part of AMP's focus on strengthening governance.

Synchron reshuffled their risk and compliance operations following Jones' departure, promoting Alison Massey to head of compliance for advice assurance and hiring Hanna Abdullah as head of compliance for policy and regulatory issues.
