AMG Australia names new MD, Head of Distribution, Aus and NZ

Affiliated Managers Group (AMG), a global asset management firm, has announced the appointment of Kevin Haran as managing director, head of distribution, Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 January 2018.

In this role, Haran will lead AMG's distribution efforts for the region, focusing on developing new business opportunities and serving clients on behalf of AMG's affiliates. He will be based in AMG's Sydney office and report to Hugh Cutler, head of global distribution.

He succeeds Gregor Rennie, who stepped down in December 2017 after 11 years as managing director.

Haran has over 15 years' sales and distribution experience in the Australian and New Zealand asset management markets and joined from Natixis Investment Managers where he was most recently head of institutional sales, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, he held senior sales positions at Macquarie Investment Management Australia and Colonial First State Investments.
