Alphinity recruits new operating chief

A former local Acadian Asset Management boss has joined Alphinity Investment Management as chief commercial and operating officer.

In the newly created role, Andrew Hair is responsible for the non-investment operations of the business, working closely with administration and distribution partner Fidante.

Hair - also head of Acadian Asia Pacific  - business stepped down two years ago after ten years in the role.

All up, he was with the firm for 15 years, initially leading the institutional client service, sales and consultant relationship efforts.

"After 15 fantastic years at Acadian followed by some time off with family and friends, I recently started a new role at Aphinity,' he said recently on social media.

"{I'm} slowly but surely working my way through the asset management alphabet. American Century should expect a knock on your door in 15 years."

Before joining Acadian, Hair held a senior distribution role at MLC Implemented Consulting and spent seven years at Mercer Investments.
