Alphinity appoints Senior Quantitative Analyst

Alphinity Investment Management (Alphinity) has announced the appointment of Richard Hitchens to the role of senior quantitative analyst, serving both the Australian and Global Equities teams, effective July 2017.

According to the firm, Hitchens is well known to both equities teams, having been a service provider to Alphinity for a number of years. He replaces Alphinity veteran Shane Kelly who is relocating to the United Kingdom.

Hitchens joins Alphinity from Credit Suisse Australia, where he has worked for the past six years, serving as director of quantitative research from 2014.

Alphinity has also announced the appointment of Stuart Welch to the newly-created role of senior research analyst, covering the health, transport and infrastructure sectors.
