Allspring Global Investments has promoted two high-profile women to leadership positions to mark International Women's Day.
Henrietta Pacquement will lead the US$575 billion asset manager's newly formed global fixed income team based in London.
This appointment brings together Allspring's European investment-grade credit resources with existing global fixed income capabilities.
Allspring said it now provides a fully integrated global fixed income product offering.
The second appointment is Janet Rilling who will lead Allspring's US fixed income team.
Joseph A. Sullivan, Allspring's chairman and chief executive, noted that Pacquement and Rilling were accomplished investment professionals who had made a difference and contributed to the firm's success.
"We look forward to their ongoing contributions as we expand Allspring's fixed income investment teams' capabilities and deep knowledge of global markets."
A senior executive added that diversity of perspective and experience is essential in the workplace and the firm's investment portfolios.
"We are especially pleased to share this exciting news on the heels of International Women's Day and Allspring's support of this year's theme to #breakthebias related to bias, stereotyping, and discrimination today and every day," said Ann Miletti, head of active equity.
