Allianz Partners name CEO

Allianz Partners Australia has appointed Chris McHugh as its new chief executive officer.

McHugh brings nearly 20 years of experience in the Australian insurance market, most recently as executive general manager of personal injury insurance. He also held roles across managed funds, workers compensation claims, and commercial insurance.

McHugh replaces Miranda Fennell, who has been acting CEO for the last several months. She will return to her role as chief risk and compliance officer for the Australian region.

Before joining Suncorp in 2001, McHugh was a detective inspector in the NSW Police Service.
