Allianz Director joins the board of Allianz Retire+

Allianz Retire+ Powered by PIMCO (Allianz Retire+), a retirement income firm recently launched as a joint venture by Allianz and PIMCO, has announced the appointment of Patria Mann as an independent board director.

Mann, who has 14 years' experience as a superannuation fund non-executive director, currently serves on the boards of Allianz Australia, Event Hospitality and Entertainment, and Ridley Corporation. Previously, she served on the boards of First State Super and Perpetual Superannuation, and was a partner at KPMG.

Mann will join fellow new appointees on the Allianz Retire+ board: David Plumb, who will serve as chair; the Hon Bernie Ripoll; and Adrian Stewart, head of PIMCO Australia and New Zealand, who is transitioning from interim CEO to board member following the appointment of new CEO, Mathew Rady.

Plumb said that the board includes "diverse attributes that will enable it to oversee and guide management - deep financial and commercial acumen and a strong mix of skills and industry experience."
