Alexander Funds hires Nick Bishop

Alexander Funds has recruited Nick Bishop as an independent member of their Investment Committee.

Nick Bishop is a former managing director and head of corporate credit at Gresham Partners

Before that, he was head of Australian fixed income for Aberdeen Standard Investments, managing up to $14 billion of investments.

Earlier, he worked at Deutsche Asset Management as a portfolio manager for Australian fixed income

Bishop's appointment reflects growth within the business, as Alexander Funds expands its team.

"His experience and knowledge of the industry will be a fabulous asset to our portfolio management team and investment committee, in what we expect to be challenging years for markets ahead," said portfolio manager and co-founder, Chris Black.

He will join Black, Adam Scully and independent chairman Chris Dalton, on the investment committee.

The Committee also includes economists Gerard Minack and Stephen Roberts, as well as the Alexander Funds investment team.

Bishop will bring new perspectives in structured credit and asset-backed securities, specifically adding a holistic portfolio management focus that he has honed over his 25 years in investment markets.
