AIST appoints Acting CEO

The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) has announced the appointment of Eva Scheerlinck as acting CEO, effective 10 March 2017.

Scheerlinck, who has served in the role of AIST executive manager, governance & stewardship since 2010, will replace Tom Garcia, who is set to take on the role of head of product with AustralianSuper in mid-March.

An AIST spokesperson said: "The appointment of Ms Scheerlinck brings stability and leadership to AIST while the search for a new CEO continues."

Applications for the role of CEO closed on February 24 and the interview process is now underway.
