AIA Australia has appointed a chief retail insurance and advice officer and farewelled its chief retail and partnerships officer.
The life insurer has appointed Pina Sciarrone to the newly created insurance and advice lead.
The life office said Sciarrone is a "well-known advocate and leader in the industry" and will be responsible for the distribution channels across retail life, AIA Health and AIA Financial Wellbeing.
Sciarrone has held several senior roles with AIA over the last ten years, including head of adviser services, chief retail insurance officer and chief executive of AIA Financial Wellbeing.
She has also chaired the AFA Victorian Committee, the AFA Foundation Committee and the AIA Women at Work Committee.
Before joining AIA, Sciarrone held key leadership roles at National Mutual, National Australia Bank, National Australia Financial Management, AIG, and Tower.
Meanwhile, Sam Tremethick will leave the life insurer next month after 12 years working at AIA in Australia, Asia and New Zealand.
Tremethick has over 20 years' experience in the life insurance sector, specialising in the retail distribution of life insurance, investment and superannuation products.
"A journey that has taken me across the world, from key account manager to the executive team," he told his LinkedIn community.
"I can't thank Damien Mu, Nick Stanhope, Leo Grepin and the late Bill Lisle enough for the opportunities, the challenges and the guidance they have given me to make my time at AIA truly memorable.
"The work was fun, the experience was special, and the friendships will be lifelong."
