AIA appoints internally for Regional Head of IFA role

Life insurance firm, AIA Australia, has announced the appointment of Sam Tremethick as regional head of IFA, effective January 2018.

In this role, Tremethick will be seconded to the AIA Group in Hong Kong where he will be responsible for driving the IFA growth strategy across Asia, New Zealand and Australia.

Tremethick is currently head of IFA distribution, a role he was appointed to in November 2014. He first joined AIA Australia in August 2012 as national manager, strategic partnerships.

Kristen Lennis-Harvey, the firm's head of strategic partnerships, will take on the role of acting head of IFA distribution for Australia in the interim.

Commenting on the changes, chief retail insurance officer, Pina Sciarrone, said: "Our aim is to have the right people in the right roles so we can work with our business partners and ultimately serve our clients in the best possible way. Kristen with her experience and passion will ensure that our IFA business partners will continue to receive the high level of support from AIA Australia they are used to getting."
