Boutique multi-asset investment manager Activam Group continues to expand its investment team with the addition of a highly experienced investment consultant.

Stephen Jackman who has worked in the market for 30 years joins Vanguard Investments veteran and one-time LUCRF Super investment chief Roger McIntosh at Activam.

Meanwhile, Alex Crompton has also come aboard as deputy portfolio manager from Resolution Life.

During his career, Jackman has advised institutional investors and industry super funds, managed external equity portfolios, and built global database systems for performance analytics and rating managers.

Jackman has held senior roles at Mercer, PwC, Hostplus, and TelstraSuper.

In his 20 years at Mercer, he was most recently head of technical products.

Notably, he created Mercer's investment performance analytics software and global investment manager database before heading to PwC in 2014 where he led the investment consulting team for three years.

He advised institutional investors on their investment structures, governance, asset allocation and manager selection.

He moved to Hostplus as an investment specialist in the equities team again for three years before hopping across to TelstraSuper in a similar role.

"We look forward to Stephens's valuable contribution to our investment team and clients," Activan said.

The Melbourne-based firm oversees more than $5 billion in funds, offering managed accounts, multi-asset portfolios, and asset management.
