A Vanguard Investments veteran and one-time LUCRF Super investment chief has popped up at the Activam Group.

Roger McIntosh joins the boutique multi-asset investment management and asset consultant from Emit Capital, where he served as chief investment officer.

Emit Capital is a climate finance investment manager focusing on ESG and socially responsible investing.

McIntosh was with Vanguard for almost 14 years in various senior executive roles, including head of investment strategy and research, before being named LUCRF Super's new head of investments.

The RMIT university finance lecturer previously worked at Sayers and Delft as head of quantitive strategies and at the Treasury Corporation of Victoria.

Activam founder and managing director Robert Talevski, welcomed MacIntosh, citing the recruit's 25 years of experience in investment management and quantitative finance as a global equities portfolio manager, investment strategist and investment chief.

"Roger's expertise will play an important role in supporting our investment offerings and strategies through further building on our innovative and highly functional investment management processes," he said.

Meanwhile, Alex Crompton has also come aboard as deputy portfolio manager, having completed   a two-year contract at Resolution Life

Crompton specialises in investment research, portfolio management, analytical investment reporting, and client consulting.

Before the short stint at the life insurer, Compton worked at Northern Trust for seven years as a member of the investment risk and analytical services team.

Other roles include senior investment manager at United Funds Management and a quantitative analyst at Partnership Planning Limited.

"Alex will play an important role in applying his expertise to support and drive our investment team and support us in achieving our clients' investment objectives," Talevski added.
