Acadian Asset Management Australia has is beefing up its business development team.

The local arm of the $132.6 billion global asset manager has recruited Rose Beedles as a director of relationship management and service.

Reporting directly to Acadian Australia chief executive Gillian Savage, Beedles will oversee the onboarding of new clients and mandates and the execution of top-tier service to local clients.

She joins from First Sentier Investors where she spent more than three years in a similar role.

Earlier she worked at Global Asset Management, most recently as a senior institutional relationship manager.

Said Savage, "We're thrilled to have Rose join the team. Her depth of industry experience and the breadth of clients she has worked with will allow her to start partnering with our clients straightaway on the business of meeting their investment goals through our systematic and data-driven approach."

Acadian maintains its core focus on equities while innovating in areas such as data-based approaches to ESG investing and growing multi-asset and equity alts capabilities in both the institutional and wholesale channels.

Beedles will be joined next week by a newly appointed client service and business development associate.

The chief executive added that the local client base has seen significant growth over the past year, so these appointments and their dedicated focus are welcome additions to the team."
